💳 Insurance & Payments
What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept most major dental insurance plans including Delta Dental, MetLife, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. We also welcome uninsured patients and provide transparent pricing.
What if I don't have dental insurance?
Uninsured patients are welcome. We explain costs up front and offer payment options so you can plan for care. Ask about our policies for self-pay visits and major treatment.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes—ask us about financing and payment plans for larger treatments. We’ll walk through what you qualify for and how it fits your budget.
🦷 Treatments & Procedures
What is the difference between a filling and a crown?
A filling restores a small cavity or damaged area of a tooth. A crown covers the entire tooth surface when there's extensive damage or after a root canal. Crowns provide more protection but require more tooth preparation.
How long do dental implants last?
With proper care, dental implants can last 20–30 years or longer. They integrate with your jawbone like natural teeth and don't decay. Regular dental visits and good oral hygiene are essential for long-term success.
Are dental x-rays safe for children?
Yes. We use modern digital x-rays with very low radiation and only take images that are clinically necessary—often with protective shielding. If you have concerns, we’re happy to explain risks and benefits for your child.
Do you offer teeth whitening?
Yes. We offer professional whitening options that are safer and more predictable than many over-the-counter products. We’ll recommend the best approach based on your enamel, sensitivity, and goals.
🪥 Oral Health & Prevention
How often should I brush?
Brush at least twice a day for two minutes with fluoride toothpaste, and brush along the gumline. Many patients also benefit from brushing after meals when possible.
What causes bad breath and how can I fix it?
Bad breath is often caused by poor oral hygiene, gum disease, dry mouth, or certain foods. Regular brushing, flossing, tongue cleaning, and professional cleanings usually resolve it. Persistent bad breath may indicate a medical condition.
How can I tell if my gums are healthy?
Healthy gums are firm, pale pink, and don’t bleed when you brush or floss. Redness, swelling, bleeding, or recession can signal gum disease—schedule an exam if you notice changes.
What is the best way to prevent cavities?
Combine daily brushing and flossing, limit frequent sugary snacks and drinks, use fluoride as directed, and keep regular check-ups and cleanings so we can catch decay early.
👨👩👧👦 Children & Family Dentistry
When should my child first visit the dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends the first visit by age 1 or when the first tooth erupts. Early visits help establish good habits and catch potential issues early.
Do you treat adult patients?
Yes. We care for patients of all ages in a welcoming environment—from children’s first visits through adult restorative and cosmetic needs.
What can I do to help my child feel comfortable?
Use positive, simple language, read books about the dentist, and avoid framing visits as punishment. We use a gentle, kid-friendly approach and can discuss sedation options when appropriate.
Are dental sealants recommended for my child?
Sealants are often recommended for children and teens on cavity-prone back teeth. They seal grooves where decay starts and are quick to place—ask us whether they’re right for your child.
